JUVENTUS TIGHTEN GRIP ON TOP SPOT
Juventus tightened their grip on the Serie A top spot with a 2-0 home win over SPAL on Saturday, thanks to goals by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Mandzukic. The Turin giants, who are aiming for an eighth consecutive league title, have 37 points from 13 games, eight points more than second-placed Napoli.
The Naples side were held 0-0 at home by bottom outfit Chievo. Third-placed Inter have 28 points after thumping Frosinone 3-0 at San Siro.
